Nickleby seek the aid of his uncle after his father dies. Ralph gets Nicholas a low-paying job as an assistant to Wackford Squeers in order to help him. Nickleby hates the way of educating by Squeers. Thus, Nickel frees Smike, who have been abused by Squeers for years. Then, they leave that place together and live in London with Newman Noggs. Afterwards, they work as actors in Portsmouth. When it rumors that Nickleby’s younger sister was abused by Squeers, Nickleby go back to London and work for Cheeryble brothers. He saves Madeline Bray, who was hurt by Ralph. At Last, Nickleby gets married with her.
